The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was the first humane society established in North America. They still strive towards their mission of preventing cruelty to animals and improving the well-being of all our furry friends. The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is an animal welfare organization dedicated to animal health and welfare. Their site is a great resource for veterinary care, local pet adoption, and charity.
MyPet
MyPet is an excellent source of dog health advice and products. If you’re in need of a vet, they have an excellent database of excellent pet specialists nationwide.
Best Friends
The Best Friends organization is dedicated to finding a loving home for all cats, dogs, and other beautiful animals. If you’re looking to get a new dog or cat, do consider adoption first and check out some of their shelters and programs across the US.
Pet Finder
Interested in adopting a pet but can’t find quite the right match? Petfinder is an online database of thousands of shelters where you can find ready to adopt pets. If you’re in the US, Canada, or Mexico, check them out.
PetSmart Charities
If you own a pet and live in the United States or Canada, then you’ve likely happened upon the Wal-Mart of petshops, PetsMart. You may not be aware, but they also sponsor their own charities for your four-legged best friend.
