If you are allergic to noise, here is my suggestion, get a Basenji dog,. Hailing from Africa, the Basenji has the odd quality of being incapable of barking and this “handicap” is only compensated by his appealing looks. This is a well proportioned, stout little dog! He has erect ears, curled tail, and a graceful, long neck. Some people think that the appearance is similar to that of a deer’s. They have a wrinkled forehead during their youth. Their almond shaped eyes give the impression they are squinting but they still have a very serious look. The coat comes in chestnut red, pure black, tricolor or brindle always with white feet, chest and tail tip. Basenjis typically weigh around 20-24 pounds and stand about 17 inches tall at the withers. This is an interesting dog! |
