The Australian Bulldog is a thickset, medium sized dog with a powerful build. He is fierce in appearance but extremely affectionate in nature. This breed's happiness requires human attention. They can be scrappy with strange dogs but they are mostly a gentle and loving breed. This one stands about 18 to 20 inches tall and weighs between 60 and 78 pounds. The female is considerably smaller at 50 to 60 pounds...The Aussie Bulldog comes in a variation of wonderful colors; fawn, apricot, orange, red, mahogany, white and being at least 5 shades of brindle. He is intelligent with a sound temperament and pretty easygoing. He will enjoy playing with a ball or Frisbee and loves to go for a swim. Given the alertness of this breed, they can make excellent watch dogs but not guard dogs. The thief might quickly befriend this amiable guy!
